# Routing quality

Metric holds every pool to the price it quotes. Each pool is judged on three things:

1. **Revert rate:** the share of swaps through the pool that fail.
2. **Average slippage:** how far, on average, fills through the pool land from their quotes.
3. **Liquidity threshold:** Most aggregators only start routing to a pool once it holds about $1,000 or more in liquidity. Below that, the pool can still trade through Metric’s app and API, but expect little or no aggregator flow. Each aggregator sets its own threshold, so the exact cutoff varies.

Pools with a high revert rate or high slippage can be deprioritized in routing or frozen. A frozen pool can't trade, but LPs can still add and remove liquidity.

Metric treats slippage manipulation as malicious and can freeze any pool whose logic or curator is malicious.
